A training course titled “Gender Equality, Safe Workplaces and Gender-Sensitive Leadership” was held at the "Training Center" SNCO of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The program is implemented with the financial support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the assistance of Grant Thornton within the framework of the training initiatives “Reform Impact Assessment” and “Organizational Culture and Internal Governance Systems.”

The training aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of SRC officers regarding gender equality, the creation of safe workplaces, and the application of gender-sensitive leadership principles, thereby contributing to the formation of an inclusive, respectful, and safe work environment.

The training was conducted in two groups for SRC inspection and managerial personnel, enabling the course content to be tailored to the professional specifics of each target group.

The course designed for inspection staff covers the fundamental concepts of gender equality, the impact of gender stereotypes, mechanisms for preventing and responding to gender-based violence, gender-sensitive communication, as well as practical exercises aimed at developing the skills for recognizing manifestations of workplace violence and responding safely.

The curriculum designed for managerial staff includes the principles of gender-sensitive leadership, the role of leaders in creating safe workplaces and preventing violence, as well as managers’ responsibilities and practical approaches to fostering an inclusive organizational culture.

The training combines theoretical and practical learning through lectures, discussions, Q&A sessions, and situational exercises, enabling participants to apply the acquired knowledge to their professional practice.

The course is delivered by Inga Harutyunyan, PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor at Yerevan State University, and expert-researcher in the social sector.
