The Second Phase of the Joint Professional Training Programme Launched Under Collaboration Between SRC Training Center and AGBU

On July 25, the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) hosted the kick-off meeting of the second phase of the professional training courses implemented within the framework of the "Learn and Earn: Armenia" programme. The meeting brought together programme participants and representatives of the RA SRC Training Center.

During the meeting, Roza Sayadyan, Coordinator of the Learn and Earn: Armenia programme, introduced AGBU's activities, its 120-year mission, and the objectives of the programme. She also presented the main participation requirements, highlighting the importance of active engagement and compliance with programme expectations throughout the entire learning process.

This was followed by presentations from Lilit Poghosyan, Partnership Programmes Development Specialist, and Gor Vardanyan, Head of the Educational Programs Development and Management Department at the SRC Training Center. They introduced the educational component of the programme, the course structure and delivery format of the courses, and the different stages of implementation. They also discussed the organisation of the learning process, ongoing communication with participants, and the importance of active and responsible participation.

Within the programme, the SRC Training Center will deliver training in three high-demand professional fields:

  • Sales
  • Accounting
  • Customer Service

The courses will be conducted primarily online, complemented by periodic in-person sessions. Their objective is to equip participants with essential professional knowledge and practical skills that will help them confidently enter the labour market, strengthen their competencies, and enhance their competitiveness.

At the end of the meeting, participants had the opportunity to ask questions, receive organisational clarifications, and familiarise themselves with the course implementation procedures.

The second phase of the courses will commence at the beginning of August.

The SRC Training Center highly values its cooperation with AGBU, considering it an effective platform for providing practical knowledge, developing labour market-oriented skills, and supporting participants' professional growth. Through this partnership, both organisations contribute to expanding educational opportunities and creating new pathways for career development for diverse groups of beneficiaries.

The AGBU Learn and Earn: Armenia programme is a workforce development initiative designed to support individuals facing employment challenges through free vocational education and the development of practical skills. The programme places particular emphasis on vulnerable and displaced communities, youth, job seekers, and women re-entering the labour market.
